The startup is run by a wonderful couple; Mustafa is a Stanford graduate and Suniya is pursuing a PhD in Aerospace Engineering. The startup aims to help improve the lives of underprivileged helpers through economic empowerment, so that they can invest in building a better life with their existing skills and expertise. Mauqa.Online has already served 6000 hours, uplifted 35 families and increased their total income by 100%.
DeafTawk is a digital platform service that aims to bridge the communication gap between the deaf community and the general public in real-time via a sign language interpreter. They provide online sign language interpretation services, audio-video translation services, and sign language trainings. The rising star from 3rd cohort has Won the Excellence and most Inclusive Solution Award at Youth Co:lab Regional Summit. The startup was also the winner of Engro’s I am the Change Award and UNDP Change Summit.

FabriCare is Pakistan’s Premier Laundry Service App, available both on Android and iOS that enables users to choose from a host of laundry service providers (including their signature laundry service), giving users the complete freedom of choice for their laundry provider. The 2nd cohort startup, raised a seed funding of $100,000 at Idea Croron Ka season 2 and are now on the verge of scaling their venture.
OVue tech is a technology company that designs, develops and sells research based electronic products. Company currently focuses on displays for versatile applications such as Mirror based products, Virtual headset, 3D Bill boards, automotive displays and tactile 3D building models. The 3rd cohort startup won Careem ERUPT and Superior University Entrepreneurial Expo 2018 at Lahore with the cash prize of Rs. 200,000. The startup was also selected to represent Pakistan at the final of Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship of Shanghai Cooperative Organization (SCO) member states.
Daastan is Pakistan’s first self-publishing platform with a built-in talent pool. Daastan is a syndicate on a mission to rebrand Pakistan’s literary industry by establishing a tech-enabled platform to discover South Asian content and their content creators. The startup won the “Preston Startup Cup 2018 and the UNDP Change Summit. They were also the semi-finalists of Pakistan Startup Cup 2015.
PrepareHOW is an online platform to guide and prepare students for university admissions. It provides students with customized mock entry tests as per the pattern used by that University. The startup participated in the Social Innovation Challenge organized by Oxfam and won the second prize. They have also acquired a grant by Planning Commission of Pakistan.
Self-Management Training (SmT)
SMT provide online self-management trainings to persons with physical disabilities so they can live a healthy, long & independent life. Romela Hameed, CEO Self-Management Training (SmT), participated in INVENT’19 Business Competition at IBA Karachi. Out of 106 registered startups in all the categories, SmT secured the top position in the Health and Agriculture category and won a Cash Prize of PKR 1 Million.
