A Hackathon to #SolveForHumanity
Some of our valuable media partners include FM 91, HUM News, News One, Waseb TV, PTV Network, FM100 Pakistan, Mashable Pakistan, ProPakistani, Capital TV and we look forward to others joining us in this endeavour to #SolveForHumanity.
Team up with us to find preventive and curative solutions for communicable diseases.
Apply in the following problem categories:
A. Preventive
The general public, including people living in rural as well as urban areas are unable to access authentic information at this crucial time. Communicable diseases and their effects can be curbed with authentic information on how it impacts health to control the spread of the disease and prevent panic.
Like Soaps, Hand sanitizers, Disinfectant sprays. Focus should be on their low-cost local mass production.
Low-Cost methods for disinfecting Roads, Homes, Hospitals, Workplaces and Public Places.
Making new tools e.g Data Modeling, dashboards, Algorithms, Apps etc which will help hospitals, policymakers, and the general public better understand and prepare for the #COVID19 response.
What solutions can you create to provide safe and comfortable quarantine for people in isolation? This could include safe delivery of house-hold items, digital payments, counselling services online, other online services for recreation, health and balance.
B. Curative
Availability of protective clothing for the public, healthcare and other professionals & devices for curbing the spread of communicable diseases.
To decrease the patient load at health care facilities via Tele-medicine, Triaging Patients by Symptom App, Home tests and checkups for other non-COVID-19 patients, etc.
Low-Cost local manufacturing of ventilators and any other hardware Devices to Assist People with Breathing Difficulty
Identification of the extent to which a positive and suspected COVID-19 patient may have infected the community. (Think Big Data, AI/ML etc.)
Vaccines, medicines and any other cures for COVID19 and other communicable diseases.
Helping with the mental and physical health of:
• Front line workers (paramedics, doctors, nurses, Pharmacists, Community Health Workers, law enforcement agencies, banks)
• Patients tested positive.
• Families of patients tested positive.
C. Other
Study at home tools for kids, university going students and general public. Find solutions to make virtual education accessible for all.
Broken supply chain caused by just in time supply that leads to problems in fulfilling a huge unprecedented demand due to an outbreak. The general public, including people living in rural as well as urban areas are unable to access food at this crucial time. The disruption of food and other daily use items supply chain in the lock down scenario increases panic and may result in inflation in the society.
Solutions to make water and sanitation accessible for all, including people in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Support to manage increase in work intensity and stress during the work from home setting via online productivity tools, fitness classes, recreational classes, free subscription of tele-conference apps, etc.
