PR NORDIC IT Summit 2017

Stockholm 20th November, 2017: Parvez Abbasi, Project Director, National Incubation Center, Islamabad was recently invited to participate at the first edition of Nordic Pakistan IT Summit in Stockholm held on 14th of November to connect and integrate IT communities of both regions.

Organized by the Pakistan Sweden Business Council at Courtyard, Marriot, Stockholm the event featured panel discussions and presentations by key decision makers, investors and top executives representing IT companies and startup incubators from both Pakistan and Sweden.

Amongst all the presentations and discussions, Parvez Abbasi, Project Director, National Incubation Center, Islamabad shared his views on Pakistan’s IT Landscape and how it is making an impact on the country’s growing economy. Mr. Abbasi, was also a part of the panel discussion on ““Innovation and Startup Ecosystem in Sweden and Pakistan” along with Ali Habib (CEO, Interactive Health Solutions), Daniel Sonesson (CEO SUP46), Helena Mischel (Account Executive, Microsoft). The panel discussion was moderated by Peder Rotkrich, Founder of Eyeoda & Mentor at Founder’s Institute

The panel discussed key ingredients of innovation in both regions and possibilities of mutual cooperation. Health-tech was discussed and role of startups solving region specific problems was highlighted.

Sharing his views on the summit, Parvez Abbasi, Project Director, NIC Islamabad commented
“The summit is a platform to facilitate the entire process of connecting investors and IT startups, networking and driving opportunities, allowing seasoned technology professionals to network with their peers, whilst hearing from global throught leaders on subjects that are the shaping the future of their industry”  The event was organised with the help and support from the Embassy of Pakistan in Sweden, Lookatech AB, IDG-Pakistan and Interactive Health Solutions.
